After spending 7 months in Finland, I am convinced more than ever that students need good educational choices that involve their own interest and motivation when pursuing a career and further education.  Finland is one example of how this philosophy can be the center of educational policy and school reform.

"There is a fundamental policy disagreement between those that think kids can't make choices and will take the easy way out and those of us who believe that kids can make the right choices given the right support and direction."

This website is a result of my 7 month Distinguished Fulbright Award in Teaching experience.  These are the stories of the young people I met and the lessons I learned while talking to countless people about the Finnish education system.  Click here to learn more about me and my project.
